The desktop client is in active development. It will expose the same dashboard you get on the web, plus local model hosting and offline-capable conversation history. Builds will be linked here on release. There are no downloads yet. Anything claiming otherwise is not from Doombringerz.

Yes. The client sends you to a sign-in screen before you can use it, and the account is what carries settings and subscription state. There is a Local Mode that blocks every outbound call once you are in, so the machine can be sealed after sign-in.
It can run a local model through Ollama on your machine. Ollama picks the hardware, not HR Protocol, so whether your GPU is used is down to your Ollama install. The compute node side does let you cap how much CPU and GPU it may take.
