Appeal a moderation decision

If your account was suspended, something you posted was removed, or what you can do here was restricted, you can ask for the decision to be looked at again. It is free, a member of staff reviews it, and you get the outcome and the reasons for it in writing. You do not need an account to use this page, which matters because a suspended account cannot sign in.

Lodge an appeal

The outcome is sent here. Use the address on the account the decision was about.

If you were given one. Leave it blank if you were not, it does not hold the appeal up.

This route stays open for 6 months after a decision. Giving the date lets the desk record that yours is in time. Without it the appeal is treated as in time.

Anything you want the reviewer to see. Context, what actually happened, links, dates.

What this is

This is the internal complaint-handling system under article 20 of Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, the Digital Services Act. It is open for 6 months after a decision, it costs nothing, and the decision on your appeal is taken by a person and not by an automated system.

Using it does not take away your other options. You can still go to a Dutch court, and you can still take the dispute to an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under article 21 of that Regulation.

The rules the decision was measured against are in the Community Rules. The operator's identity is on the Legal Notice.
